This adorable 7-month old Labrador cross is just a puppy! He came to the shelter with a curable, non-contagious skin condition that left him with very little hair. . . a condition that made adopters walk right past him! But when New Leash on Life USA saw his sunny personality and his amazing play style with other dogs, we snatched him right up! A few months later, with the help of our vet tech, a great diet, and more medicated baths than we can count, Irwin’s coat is coming in shiny, soft, and black as night! Irwin is a typical Labrador in terms of play style and personality. . . which means that he’s never met anyone, human or animal that he doesn’t like! He’s soaking up training sessions like a sponge, his favorite command is ‘stay’, and he’s very motivated by both food and toys! We think that Irwin will weigh around 55-60lbs when fully grown and would thrive in a home with some children or another dog to play with.
